THE GRAND CANYON'S MOST EXPERIENCED GUIDES
Hatch River Expeditions employs some of the Canyon’s most experienced white water rafting and hiking guides. Our guides average over 13 years experience. In fact, several of our guides have over 200 trips through the Canyon! Their years of commitment to sharing the things they know and love about the Grand Canyon, it’s geology, wildlife and history adds up to a superior trip for you.
Each of our guides must go through our own rigorous training programs and be certified in Wilderness First Responder, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, Arizona Backcountry Environmental Health certification, and Swift Water Rescue III Courses and are recertified every 2 years. Many of our guides also hold an EMT or RN certification.
Perhaps the National Park Service said it best in one of our performance evaluations: "The employees of Hatch River Expeditions have an outstanding appearance and attitude. Their performance should be used as a standard for all river companies."
Not only are our guides skilled boatmen, they also have extensive knowledge of the Canyon’s history, geology, and environmental issues. They are pros at making sure you feel comfortable while you are having more fun than you thought possible.
