In addition to running the business, Steve Hatch conducts most of the orientations the morning of your trip. Steve is an avid hunter, fisher and outdoors-man and is often camping with his family. He’s a gracious employer and includes all staff as family. With his wife Sarah and two children, Eva and Cael, he annually rafts the Salmon in Idaho and makes at least one white water run down the Colorado in the Grand Canyon.

You’ll know Magnolia from working through your registration process. She also opens the Hatch store early mornings before each trip departs. Occasionally, she’ll pitch in with driving the Yukon if someone missed the van ride, or, if your lucky, you may get a ride in the BMW C3 Roadster. Magnolia has a passion for world travel and cuisines and loves to hike! She’s currently focused on visiting all of the National and State Parks in the southwest and Indian ruins in the four corners area.

Katy is a new addition to the company and has love every second of it. From assisting clients with their initial booking of a trip of a lifetime to answering last minute questions, she enjoys the whole process. In her down time she enjoys hiking with her 3 German Shorthair Pointers and fishing with her husband all over the Western US.

Larry or Aaron will pick you up in the Hatch van at the Marble Canyon Airport and drive you to Cliff Dwellers Lodge. Larry is our sleep kit guru and all-around maintenance guy. He works into the winter in the warehouse preparing rafts for the next season. He’s passionate about photography and recycling. He has two Adopt A Highway sites – one on 89A and one close to the North Rim. Look for signs hosted by "Scary Larry". Self-named "Scary Larry" is not really scary.

Michelle handles any number of things in the warehouse and is the person responsible for making sure that each trip has a stash of Girl Scout Cookies! She’s head of the food pack crew and packs a mean set of meals for our guests.

Aaron is our mechanic. He’s busy all summer and into the winter repairing motors that bottom out in rapids and servicing our vehicles and trailers. He’s a creative writer and great artist and lives on the Navajo reservation with his family. He’s been in Marble Canyon for 12 years and is a third generation Arizona native.
